AS outlaws cool down on the ice â¦. TEAM management "light UP" thanksgiving
November 15, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kansas City Outlaws News Release
After the expansion Outlaws "lit" up opponents in route to a 4-1 record in the first five games, they have stumbled on the road, dropping six of the last eight games and making their record 6-7. However, the Outlaws management have been "lighting" it up behind the scenes for the team's return to Kemper Arena on Thanksgiving. The team is offering a revolutionary Thanksgiving package for "Light up the Plaza, Light up Kemper Arena" night on November 25 that includes the following:
* One ticket to the Outlaws vs. Kalamazoo Wings at Kemper Arena on November 25
* One free parking admission for the game at the Kemper Arena Parking Lots
* One shuttle ride from Kemper Arena to the Plaza Lighting Ceremony and returning to Kemper Arena. (The buses will run a continuous route from 5:30 p.m. through the start of the game at 8:30 p.m. --- Plaza lights are schedule to turn on at 7:30 p.m.)
* Plus: The first 2,000 children ages 14 and under will receive a flashlight courtesy of Dean's Trophies, T-Shirts, and Awards. All 2,000 children with flashlights will be part of the "Light up Kemper Arena" celebration.
Tickets: The Thanksgiving package is $12, $17, $20 (tickets increase two dollars on day of event) and are available TODAY through the Kemper Arena Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or charge by phone at 816-931-3330. If someone has already purchased a game ticket for November 25, the shuttle ride to and from Kemper Arena is available for $5 at the Kemper Arena Box Office.
LOOk for some player movement:
Outlaws General Manager Joe Bucchino is one of many in the organization that is relentless in making this team a success.  While the team has been on the road, Bucchino and his scouting team has been scouting across North America, primarily in the American Hockey League(AHL).  Nothing has been confirmed, but keep your ear to the pavement this week, and don't be surprised if there more roster changes in the Outlaws lineup in the near future.
