Bayne Returns to Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (MAY 31, 2011) - The Winston-Salem Dash announced today that RHP Cameron Bayne was transferred to Winston-Salem from AAA Charlotte. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.

Bayne was promoted to Charlotte for a spot-start on Monday night where he started in the Knights' 7-5 loss to Buffalo. He threw four innings and gave up six runs (all earned) on 13 hits. The Honolulu native was hit with the loss in his first appearance in Triple-A.

With the Dash this season, Bayne is 4-3 with a 3.83 ERA in nine starts. Five of his nine starts were quality, including two of his last three. Bayne last started on May 25 against Lynchburg, when he got the win after five innings where he gave up four runs on four hits. He won his first two starts with Winston-Salem in 2011 and took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning in his first outing on April 11 against Potomac.

The Dash roster now sits at 23, two below the Carolina League limit.
