
Baumann Placed On Inactive List

SIOUX FALLS - The Sioux Falls Canaries have placed outfielder Nate Baumann on the inactive list, a corresponding roster move to the signing of Reggie Abercombie on Tuesday.
Baumann, 24, remains under contract with the Canaries while he pursues opportunities in graduate school next month. The rookie from Marshall, Minn., and alumnus of Augustana College became the Canaries' everyday right fielder, batting .240 with eight home runs and 19 RBI in 53 games. He also collected nine doubles, two triples and swiped eight bases in his second professional season.
The Canaries roster now stands a league maximum of 22 active players.
