The Waterloo Bucks (6-5) managed just three hits in a 5-1 loss to the Eau Claire Express (4-7) on Friday evening. Following a game-tying single by Matt Campos in the fourth inning, Eau Claire used a four-run fifth to deliver the deciding blow.
Relievers Jack Parisi (3.0 ip, 2 H, 0 R, BB, 2 K) and Kenny Carillo (1.0 ip, 0 R) combined for 4.0 scoreless relief innings. Jack Parkinson threw well before the wheels came off in the fifth; striking out five across 4.0 frames.
Waterloo and the Express conclude their two-game series on Saturday evening at 6:35 p.m. on the Bucks Radio Network powered by 1650 The Fan.
