
Bats Announce Upcoming Promotions

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A pair of giveaways highlight the Louisville Bats' next homestand at Louisville Slugger Field. At the Saturday, June 8 6:05 p.m. game, the first 2,500 fans with paid admission will receive a free Bats logo duffle bag. In addition, the Tuesday, June 11 7:05 p.m. game will feature a Bats logo dog bowl giveaway to the first 750 paid fans. (Fans with dogs will be guaranteed a dog bowl.)
The June 11 game will also be the Bats' second Dog Day at the Park of the season as tickets will be $7 for humans and $3 for dogs with all dog proceeds benefiting the Kentucky Humane Society.
Also included in the homestand will be a Budweiser $1 beer happy hour featuring live music from Thirty Spokes Thursday, June 6. The Bats' eighth annual Southern Indiana Night and postgame fireworks will highlight the Friday, June 7 game with special $6 reserved tickets available to all Hoosiers in advance of the game.
The homestand includes eight games in all-four against the Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, from June 4 to June 7 and four against the Durham Bulls, Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, from June 8 to June 11.
The Bats come back home after polishing off an impressive month of May. As a team, Louisville hit .288 in the month to lead the International League. The Bats also posted a 15-14 record in May, their first month above the .500 mark since April of 2011. Individually, veteran slugger Mike Hessman enters the eight-game stretch on a roll having hit .349 in May with nine of his 14 home runs on the season and 16 RBI. Reds top prospect Billy Hamilton leads the IL with his 30 stolen bases and also comes in off a productive month of May in which he hit .273.
The Bats have averaged 9,040 fans per game at Louisville Slugger Field since its opening in 2000 and have totaled over 8.2 million fans through 13 seasons.
