Baseball's Best Nachos Receive National Recognition

June 16, 2010 - Frontier League (FL) - Gateway Grizzlies News Release

The Gateway Grizzlies are proud to announce that their Baseball's Best Nachos were named the second best baseball food item by Adam Richman.

Richman, the host of the Travel Channels, Man v. Food announced his Top Five Baseball Food List Wednesday on ESPN. Baseball's Best Nachos were second to the New York Yankees Garlic Fries.

Included in the list at number three was Italian Sausage, Chicken Biscuit with Alaga Syrup tallied fourth and a hotdog with kraut and mustard finished off the top five.

"We are tremendously proud of this honor," said Grizzlies General Manager Steve Gomric. "We take great pride in our concessions and coming in second to the New York Yankees isn't too bad!"

The nachos, which were introduced for the 2009 season, feature a bed of tri-color tortilla chips, topped with seasoned philly beef steak, flame roasted onions and peppers, then smothered in Monterrey Jack cheese sauce. They can be purchased at the Great Grizzlie Grill inside GCS Ballpark.

Baseball's Best Nachos and Baseball's Best Burger were featured in 2009 on Man v. Food.

The Grizzlies are in their 10th season in the Frontier League. Single game and group tickets are currently on sale by calling the GCS Ballpark Box Office at 618.337.3000.
