LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats scored three times in the bottom of the third to pull within one run, but the Memphis Redbirds nulled the effort with a four-run top of the fourth to claim a 9-3 win and seven-game series sweep of the Bats Sunday afternoon at Louisville Slugger Field.

After Memphis jumped to a 4-0 lead through the first two innings, Louisville mounted its own charge with back-to-back doubles from Jose Barrero and Braxton Lee that put the first run on the board. Narciso Crook reached on an error, Alfredo Rodriguez plated Lee with a single up the middle and Rocky Gale slapped the ball into right field to score Crook and bring Louisville within one run at 4-3.

The Redbirds then pushed across four runs on four singles and an error in the top of the fourth to pull away and seal the series sweep. With its win, Memphis has now won each of the last nine games against the Bats since July 9.

Barrero, who doubled in the third inning, extended his on-base streak to a team season-best 19 consecutive games dating to July 3. The top prospect has totaled 22 hits, 12 walks and four hit-by-pitches as part of his impressive on-base streak.

The Bats will now enjoy a day off before hitting the road for a 12-game, two-week road trip beginning Tuesday, July 27 at Iowa at 6:35 p.m. RHP Riley O'Brien (4-4, 4.31) is set to get the ball in the series opener against the I-Cubs.
