Ryan Hamilton put the Barons on the scoreboard first at 8:52 in the first, when he received a Lander pass and evaded the Toronto defense before wristing a shot past Marlies goalie Drew MacIntyre to give Oklahoma City a 1-0 lead.
The Barons added to their lead midway through the second period, when Tyler Pitlick tipped a Lander shot from the point past MacIntyre at the 9:28 mark.Toronto narrowed the score to 2-1 at 13:56 in the second, when Spencer Abbott rammed a rebounding Wade MacLeod shot under the pads of Barons goalie Richard Bachman from point-blank range.
Oklahoma City would regain its two-goal lead just 13 seconds later, when Travis Ewanyk received the puck near the Toronto net off a Brad Hunt shot and flipped a high backhand shot past MacIntyre for a 3-1 Barons lead.
The Barons' two-goal lead didn't hold up long, though, as Abbott scored his second goal of the night for the Marlies, putting a rebounded Sam Carrick shot past Bachman, tightening Oklahoma City's lead to 3-2 at 18:49 of the second period. Abbott's goal came on the power play, with Oklahoma City's Hunt serving a 2:00 penalty for holding the stick at 18:23.
Toronto knotted the score at three goals when T.J. Brennan took a Brandon Kozun pass near the left circle and fired a wrist shot past Bachman at 7:28 of the third period.
After Toronto's Korbinian Holzer was whistled for a kneeing penalty at 12:01 of the third, Oklahoma City netted the game-winner when Jack Combs tipped the rebound of a C.J. Stretch shot from the left circle past MacIntyre for a 4-3 Barons lead.
