Lancaster Stormers News Release
LANCASTER, Pa., JULY 8, 2014 - Ten thousand pieces of Lancaster Soft Crèmes will be handed out to Barnstormers' fans as they enter Clipper Magazine Stadium this Thursday, July 10th in honor of Caramel Celebration Night sponsored by The Hershey Company.
To celebrate, fans will be treated to a host of fun activities, including photo opportunities with the famed Hershey Characters: Reese, Hershey, Kiss, Jolly Rancher and Ice Breaker, the chance to win passes to HersheyPark during the "Sweetest Seventh Inning Stretch" and children, 10 and under, can participate in the helicopter drop, where thousands of pieces of Hershey candy will be dropped onto the field immediately following the Barnstormers game versus the Long Island Ducks.
Milton Hershey started his legendary career as a candy maker manufacturing caramels in Lancaster, Pa. Milton built the Lancaster Caramel Company in 1886, and by 1894, 1,300 employees were employed. Mr. Hershey's original caramel recipe was reimagined earlier this year with the introduction of the new Lancaster Soft Crèmes. Carefully crafted with quality ingredients to deliver authentic rich, buttery caramel flavors in a soft crème, three flavors of Lancaster Soft Crèmes are available now. Hershey has partnered with the Lancaster Barnstormers to create a very special night to celebrate the launch of the new Lancaster Soft Crèmes.
"We are eager to help celebrate The Hershey Company's newest brand - Lancaster Soft Crèmes and provide our fans an evening full of fun," said Barnstormers' Promotions and Events Coordinator, Rachel Miller. Miller and Melissa Tucker, the Barnstormers' Corporate Sales leader, have worked closely with Hershey to develop this very special night.
The Barnstormers will also be handing out the 2014 Barnstormers' team baseball card set to the first 1000 fans as they enter Clipper Magazine Stadium, so Barnstormers' fans will have their hands full on Thursday, July 10th.
The Lancaster Barnstormers are entering their tenth season as a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Home games are played at Clipper Magazine Stadium in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Please call 717.509.HITS (4487) or visit LancasterBarnstormers.com for more information.
