Baltimore Ravens star Haloti Ngata to appear on Aug. 12

Aberdeen, MD- The Aberdeen IronBirds, short-season class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, announce today that Baltimore Ravens star defensive tackle Haloti Ngata will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Sunday, August 12 game against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

After throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Ngata will sign autographs on cards, footballs, helmets and other memorabilia for $20 each and all proceeds will benefit the Junior Diabetes Foundation. Ngata appears courtesy of Forest Hill Sports Cards in Forest Hill, Maryland.

Ngata enters his second professional season with the Ravens this fall. Last season Ngata made 31 tackles and one sack in his rookie season in the NFL. Ngata was the twelfth overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft out of the University of Oregon. While attending Oregon, Ngata was a consensus first team All-American in 2005, the first at the school in 43 years.
