Four Renegades Named To All-Star Team

FISHKILL, NY (August 8, 2007) - The Hudson Valley Renegades, Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, will be represented by four players on this year's New York-Penn League American League Affiliated All-Star team. Outfielders Maiko Loyola and Emeel Salem, catcher Mike McCormick and starting pitcher Jason Ragan were selected by league officials to participate in the 3rd Annual NYP League All-Star Game on August 14th at Dutchess Stadium.

Maiko Loyola: Loyola currently ranks eighth in the league with a .322 batting average. He is also fourth in stolen bases (17), third in slugging percentage (.537), fifth in runs scored (33) and second in triples (6). With runners in scoring position, Loyola is also batting .409 and has driven in 24 runs.

Emeel Salem: Salem is currently ranked second in the league with 23 stolen bases. He is batting .314, has an on-base percentage of .380, and has scored 26 runs.

Mike McCormick: McCormick leads the Renegades with five home runs. He has driven in 24 runs and is second on team with 22 walks.

Jason Ragan: Ragan is leading the Renegades pitching staff with five wins and has the lowest ERA amongst team starters (2.78). In ten starts this season, he has struck out 35 batters in 58.1 innings while walking just 20 batters.
