December 11, 2018 - NBA G League (G League)
Osceola Magic News Release
The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeat the Westchester Knicks 115-91, in front of a home crowd at the RP Funding Center.
The Magic pulled ahead early and were up by as many as 14 points in the quarter to take a 10 point (29-19) lead into the second. The early Magic lead was largely in part to Antonio Campbell's hot hand off the bench with 8 points in just 4:17 minutes played. The Knicks were also 0-5 from the three-point line, compared to Lakeland's 4-10.
The second quarter was a back and forth battle but the Knicks were outscored 25-20 in the quarter which would build upon the Magic's lead. Amile Jefferson was a key factor with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the first half alone. The Magic would lead the Knicks 54-39 heading into the locker room.
The Magic continued to pour on the points in the third quarter. Gabe York was 2 for 3 from the three-point-line with 10 points in the quarter to help increase the Magic lead to 29 and what would be the largest of the night. The Knicks fought hard in the fourth with an even scoring matchup but Magic had built a solid lead and kept the momentum throughout the remainder of the game for a final score 115-91.
For the Magic, Amile Jefferson had his ninth double-double of the season with 21 points and 18 rebounds. Gabe York led the team in scoring with 25 points. Antonio Campbell came off the bench to score 16 points and 8 rebounds. John Petrucelli had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
