Bakersfield Jam News Release

BAKERSFIELD, February 21, 2012 - Bakersfield Jam's guard Osiris Eldridge will participate in the Dream Factory Dunk Contest and Shooting Stars Competition this weekend at the NBA D-League All-Stars Event in Orlando, FL.

Eldridge and three other contestants will showcase their dunking skills in a two-round competition that allows each player to be creative with their dunks and ultimately be crowned the champion. In the Shooting Stars Competition, 12 NBA D-League talents will compete in four teams of three in a two-round timed shooting event. The contest features six numbered shooting locations of increasing difficulty, with each team attempting to make all shots in numeric order in the fastest time.

The NBA Development League Dream Factory presented by Haier, an innovative skills competition modeled after the popular NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by State Farm, returns for the fifth consecutive year to Center Court at NBA Jam Session on Saturday, Feb. 25.

For the first time, the Dream Factory Dunk Contest presented by Haier will take place at halftime of the 2012 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by 26 seconds, which begins at 2pm ET, and will be broadcast live on NBA TV. The 3-Point Competition and the Shooting Stars, both also presented by Haier, will take place following the conclusion of the NBA D-League All-Star Game and will be streamed live on nba.com/futurecast.
