Rome, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets (10-5) defeated the Rome Braves (3-12) 3-2 on Thursday night in front of 5,105 fans to take the series.

The contest was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth when Rome posted a run on an RBI single by Connor Lien for the 1-0 score. Augusta took the lead 3-1 in the seventh on a two run homer by Ryan Tuntland (1) followed by a solo shot from Rando Moreno (1). Rome attempted to rally in the ninth when Connor Oliver reached on a walk and was plated on a single by Sal Giardina but would ultimately fall short giving Augusta the 3-2 win.

DJ Snelton (4-1) gets the win while Tyler Vail (0-3) is charged with the loss.
