Baby Cakes, Baby Bombers to Square off in "Battle of the Bambinos"

New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Metairie, LA - There's no crying in baseball, even when babies are involved, but the New Orleans Baby Cakes are intent on bringing the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Baby Bombers to tears in the "Battle of the Bambinos."
After the Baby Cakes became one of the hottest merchandise items in Minor League Baseball, selling to all 50 states and countries all over the globe, the RailRiders debuted their imitation Baby Bomber logo. Quick to hop on the bandwagon of the Baby Cakes' Logomania championship last summer, Scranton instigated a Twitter war with Baby Cakes general manager Cookie Rojas in recent weeks, claiming their baby is better.
"We have had enough of the Baby Bombers and their curiously familiar logo," Rojas said. "We have shown to have not only the best baby in baseball, with a Golden Bobblehead to prove it, but the best logo, period. And while we are confident the Baby Cakes will come out on top again, we sincerely hope this contest makes positive charitable contributions to both communities."
The Baby Cakes and Bombers will settle the score once and for all in an online competition to determine which baby is better. Fans are asked to visit www.battleofthebambinos.com and vote #teambabycakes on Twitter to show their support for the 'Cakes. The competition runs through July 30.
The team that loses the hashtag voting competition will donate $2,500 to the winning team's charity. The Baby Cakes have already chosen the Junior League of New Orleans as the recipient of the donation when #teambabycakes emerges victorious.
One lucky fan who voted #teambabycakes will be selected for a trip to Miami in August to watch the Marlins take on the New York Yankees in a match-up of the Baby Cakes' and Baby Bambinos' parent clubs.
Additionally, the Baby Cakes will be hosting diaper drives to collect supplies for the Junior League of New Orleans in support of a very worthy cause. The diaper drives are scheduled for May 13th (Mother's Day), June 17th (Father's Day), June 28th (Ladies Night) and July 28th, and any fans who bring diapers to the box office will receive free tickets to the game on those selected dates.
