LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets beat the Erie Seawolves, 3-1, Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium to earn a series split. Steven Matz get the ball on rehab and tossed six brilliant innings. He allowed one baserunner, a two-out first inning single, and struck out six, including five in a row. Matz earned the win in his return to Binghamton, as Gabriel Ynoa made his first relief appearance in four years, and Jon Velasquez notched his 17th save. Josh Rodriguez hit his 100th career home run and 19th of the season. Binghamton took the season series from the SeaWolves (7-6).

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Tyler Pill makes the start in the first game of the series, his second consecutive against New Hampshire. Pill tossed 5.2 shutout innings against the Fisher Cats in his last time out, part of a doubleheader at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. It was his eighth career start against New Hampshire and certainly his best. Pill has a 5.48 in his career against the Fisher Cats. He has now won all four starts with the B-Mets this season, working into the sixth inning all four.

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: RHP Austin Bibens-Dirkx gets the nod for the Fisher Cats, making his second consecutive start against the B-Mets as well. It's his 18th appearance with New Hampshire this season overall, and 16th start. It's his fourth outing against Binghamton and third start. He lost the last go-round, allowing three runs in six innings, and has posted a 3.86 ERA against the B-Mets this year in 14 innings pitched.

WELL, HELLO AGAIN: Binghamton wraps up a stretch of eight games against the Fisher Cats in a 10 day span this weekend. It's the final series between these teams in 2015 and the first visit to Binghamton for New Hampshire since mid-May. The Fisher Cats have won 10 of the first 18 meetings in attempt to win the season series for the first time since 2011.

LAST FOUR: Binghamton has not won any of it's past four series, going 0-2-2. The B-Mets have split each of their past two series, against these Fisher Cats and the Erie SeaWolves. Binghamton is off to a 12-12 start in the month of August.

X MARKS THE SPOT: Xorge Carrillo's only games off in the past 11 days have been part of doubleheaders. Carrillo is currently a riding a six-game hitting streak, which matches his longest of the season. The catcher is batting .357

(10-for-28) in his last eight games.

START ME UP: Binghamton is 24-15 in series openers this season, winning their last three.

HOME STRETCH: The B-Mets are in the middle of playing 20 games in 18 days to close out the season, including two doubleheaders. Tuesday's doubleheader was Binghamton's third in the past week. The B-Mets last scheduled day off was August 17th.

FIRST OFF: Gavin Cecchini has missed each of the past eight games for the B-Mets. Cecchini currently ranks second in the league in batting average (.317) and is top five in three other offensive categories. TJ Rivera has filled in at shortstop and LJ Mazzilli in the leadoff spot for all eight games. The B-Mets have scored 30 runs over the eight games, with 19 coming in two of them.

KEEP ON TRUCKIN': TJ Rivera has hit safely in six straight games, going 9-for-21 (.429). He is batting .363 in 24 games since returning to Binghamton from Las Vegas (AAA). His longest hitting streak with the B-Mets this season is seven games.
