LAST GAME: The B-Mets and Akron Aeros made it to the top of the sixth inning before enduring their second suspension in as many days yesterday at NYSEG Stadium. The teams were attempting to complete a game that was suspended in the fourth inning on Sunday. The contest will be finished in Akron, Ohio on June 19. Monday's regularly scheduled game will also be made up during the series in Akron. The B-Mets held a 2-1 when the game was restarted, but watched as the Aeros tied it in the top of the fifth. Matt Lawson stole third with one out and scored when catcher Kai Gronauer'sthrow skipped past Jefry Marte and rolled into left field. The B-Mets failed to score against Akron reliever Toru Murata over two innings.
STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: LHP Mark Cohoon (3-5, 3.52) makes his tenth start of the season and second against the Aeros. The southpaw earned his only win in the month of May in his previous start against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on May 27. He allowed one run on five hits and struck out two over seven innings. With his start tonight, Cohoon surpasses his total number of B-Mets starts from last year (9). His career-high with Binghamton is 13, set in 2010.
RHP Paul Demny (4-3, 4.55) makes his team-leading twelfth start of the season and first against the B-Mets. The righty from Texas is a fresh off a loss to the Portland Sea Dogs on May 31. He matched a career-high by allowing twelve hits. He struck out three and allowed five runs in a game the Senators would lose 7-2. Demny was selected in the 6th round of the 2008 draft by the Nationals out of Blinn College (JC) in Brenham, Texas. The righty has made at least 23 starts in each of his last three pro seasons, going 10-10 with a 4.32 ERA in 26 starts with the Potomac Nationals (High-A) last year.
SUSPENSION NOTES: The B-Mets experienced their first suspended game since their contest against the Altoona Curve on May 27, 2011 was suspended in the top of the seventh inning. The B-Mets have had 26 suspended games in their franchise history. The last five have all come at home.
BATTLING THE RAIN: After experiencing just two postponements through the first 49 games of the season, the B-Mets have had two rainouts and a pair of game suspensions over their last seven days. The most postponements in franchise history came in Binghamton's first year when 15 games were postponed in 1992. The B-Mets had three suspended games in 2000 and 2003.
DEN DEKKER BACK ON TRACK: After going through a mini-slide of 0-for-10 over four games, Matt den Dekker blasted a solo home run in the third inning Saturday night. It was his team-leading eighth of the season. He is tied with Reynaldo Rodriguez of Portland for the league lead with 28 extra-base hits.
BONFE BASHING: In just nine games with the B-Mets, Joe Bonfe has collected three multi-hit games. The infielder drove in a run in the second inning on Sunday and scored later in the frame.

Binghamton's pitching staff is hitting .143 (1-for-7) this season with four strike outs, three sac bunts and one run scored. RHP Greg Peavey has the only hit, a single against Robert Gilliam of the Senators on May 6.
AGAINST THE SENATORS: Harrisburg took two of three from the B-Mets in their first meeting of the season at NYSEG Stadium in early May. The B-Mets hit .242 as a team and the pitching staff compiled a 2.67 ERA. The B-Mets went 2-2 at Metro Bank Park last year.
NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets continue their series against the Harrisburg Senators tomorrow night at 7:00 pm.
