AVON, OHIO - The Rockford Aviators notched their 40th win of the season by coming from behind to knock off the Crushers by a final of 4-3 in 11 innings. Matt Frahm got the W, and Patrick Dolan got the save in the second victory in as many days in Avon.

The Aviators got out to an early lead on a 2-run HR by Anthony Renteria. Renteria's 5th homer since July 24 built a 2-run lead for Kyle Brueggemann. Brueggemann would pitch into the 7th, giving up just 5 hits while striking out 8.

The Aviators would score a run on error in the 8th though, and Colby Holmes, Matt Frahm, and Patrick Dolan combined to throw 4 ? innings of scoreless ball to keep the Lake Erie squad down the rest of the way.

Under international rules in the 11th, the Aviators started with Dusty Robinson on 2nd. He would come in on an RBI double by Brian Bistagne to make it 4-3. Patrick Dolan then entered in the bottom of the 11th and retired the 3 men he faced to get the Crushers to strand their automatic runner and give the win to the Aviators.

Rockford closes out the series in Avon tomorrow. Start time against the Crushers will once again be 7:05 ET/6:05 CT.
