AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Spurs (2-4), presented by SWBC, fell to the Oklahoma City Blue (6-1), 130-118, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Sunday afternoon.
Jaron Blossomgame led the Spurs in scoring with 32 points (13-22 FG). Nick Johnson recorded a double-double in his season debut with 19 points (7-19 FG, 3-9 3FG) and 10 assists.
The first half of the contest was competitive, with three lead changes and seven ties. A late push by the Blue resulted in a 66-51 lead for Oklahoma City heading into the half. The Spurs closed the gap to seven points in the fourth quarter with the help of three consecutive makes from beyond the arc by Jeff Ledbetter, but the Blue held on to win 130-118.
For the game the Spurs recorded a season-high 26 assists and a season-low nine turnovers.
Tyler Davis led the Blue in scoring with 29 points (12-14 FG, 5-6 FT) and 13 rebounds. Richard Solomon contributed a double-double with 22 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
