Austin FC Loans Defender Freddy Kleemann to Birmingham Legion FC

Austin, TEXAS - Austin FC announced on Thursday that the Club has loaned defender Freddy Kleemann to USL Championship club Birmingham Legion FC on a season-long agreement for the 2022 season, with Austin FC retaining the right to recall Kleemann at any given time.
Austin FC selected Kleemann with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft after a stellar collegiate career at the University of Washington. He made three (3) MLS appearances for the Verde & Black in 2021, and made two (2) USL Championship appearances for Birmingham while on loan with the club last season.
Transaction: Austin FC loans defender Freddy Kleemann to Birmingham Legion FC for the 2022 season, and retains the right to recall the player at any given time.
