New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will host Real Salt Lake on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium in MLS action. The club's third consecutive match against a Western Conference opponent kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and airs locally on WSBK-TV38, myRITV, 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2, and 1260 AM Nossa (in Portuguese).

New England enters the weekend tilt with clean sheets in its last two contests, posting a 1-0 win over FC Dallas in last Saturday's MLS home opener before a 3-0 midweek victory over Pumas UNAM in the First Leg of the SCCL Quarterfinals. Revolution captain Carles Gil continued his torrid start to the season with two assists in the Champions League match, raising his total to one goal and three helpers across all competitions in 2022. New England owns a 23-1-8 record across all competitions when Gil provides an assist. Gil was one of four Revolution players named to Concacaf's Best XI for the first leg of the Quarterfinal Round along with Earl Edwards Jr., Andrew Farrell, and Adam Buksa.

Sebastian Lletget netted the opening goal in Wednesday's win, his second tally through three games with the Revolution. Adam Buksa collected a brace with a pair of second-half tallies to open his 2022 account. Buksa's multi-goal game was the first for a Revolution player in international competition.

On the defensive end, center back Andrew Farrell registered his 300th appearance with New England across all competitions. He enters Saturday's match one appearance away from his 275th league game. In net, goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. logged his first MLS clean sheet in the victory over FC Dallas before adding another shutout performance on Wednesday night in a three-save effort. The Revolution have yet to concede at Gillette Stadium through 180 minutes this season.

Saturday's match will feature the return of former Revolution midfielder and Braintree, Mass. native Scott Caldwell, now with RSL. The Revolution's second Homegrown Player signing in club history, Caldwell played in 229 MLS games for New England from 2013-21. Caldwell ranks eighth in club history in games played, ninth in games started, and 10th in minutes played.

Real Salt Lake, 1-0-1 on the season, has posted a 4-4-3 record in 11 trips to Foxborough. Revolution midfielder Emmanuel Boateng leads the Revolution roster with three goals and two assists over seven career appearances against Real Salt Lake.
