Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack received little help from the Guelph Storm on Wednesday night, so they will try to clinch third spot in the Western Conference on their own when they travel to Windsor to take on the Spitfires.

The Bears are coming off back to back wins over the Erie Otters, which closed out a five game home stand. During the home stand the Attack picked up eight of a possible ten points and is still battling for 2nd overall in the OHL.

Jordan Binnington will make the start in goal as he searches for his 31st win of the season, which would establish a new single season high for the Owen Sound franchise.

The Attack have had success against the Spitfires this season, nailing down 5-2 and 1-0 victories at home, while opening up the season with a 6-1 victory in Windsor back in September.

Thursday, March-14-13: Attack @ Windsor - The Spitfires will miss the post season for the first time since the 06/07 season after finishing 8th last season. The Spitfires are coming off impressive home wins over the Soo Greyhounds and the London Knights. The Spits do have several impressive scorers with three players averaging over a point per game and import Alexander Khokhlavchev averaging 1.81 points per game.

Look Out For - Khokhlachev can rip apart a team by himself. Since returning from Russia, the Boston Bruins prospect has poured in 21 goals, while also averaging an assist per game in 26 contests.

You can catch tonight's game on 560 CFOS with Terry's Trailer Service/Kia of Owen Sound Bear Radio. You can also watch the game on Rogers TV Local Channel 53. Game time at the WFCU Centre is 7:05pm.
