Oshawa, Ontario- The Oshawa Generals are proud to announce that they have raised over $10,000 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation with their "Pucks 4 Heart" Night. The event was held on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 when the Generals hosted the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and former General Brett MacLean dropped the puck.

The Generals donated a portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold to the game. The team also auctioned off the commemorative jerseys worn by the players with proceeds being donated to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

The "Pucks 4 Heart" initiative also raised funds by selling "Pucks 4 Heart" t-shirts, as well as holding a "Pucks 4 Heart" puck toss.

Local corporate sponsors Reed's Florists and Meineke also supported the night. Reed's was in attendance selling flowers on the concourse, with a portion of the proceeds going to Heart & Stroke, while Meineke will be donating one dollar from every preferred oil change during the entire month of February.

The Generals would like to thank Meineke, Reed's Florists, Brett MacLean, the Heart & Stroke Foundation and all those involved in with Pucks 4 Heart for making this such a successful event. Most of all, the Generals would like to extend their thanks to the fans for their support.
