OHL Owen Sound Attack

Attack Look to Build off Strong November

December 1, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

It was a good month of November for the Owen Sound Attack, as they collected points in eight of nine games, including having a five game win streak.

The Bears will look to build off that strong month as the calendar flips to December with another 3-in-3 this weekend.

First up is a second visit to the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, for the third meeting of the season between the Attack and Rangers. Owen Sound has had early success with back to back victories over the Rangers, including a third period comeback the last time they visited the Aud. The Rangers for their part have posted a 3-3 record since the last meeting with Owen Sound and sit one point out of the playoffs and three back the Attack in the Western Conference.

The Attack will then host the Flint Firebirds for a weekend double-header at the Bayshore. Flint has been steady this season, not going more than two games straight without a win, and have been lead by New York Rangers prospect Brennan Othmann. The Firebirds do have a feather in their cap, with having handed the London Knights their first loss of the season, but have won just three games over their last eight since.

The Attack will be getting a shot in the arm for the upcoming weekend, as rookie forward Colby Barlow is set to return from the U17 Capital City Challenge. The young winger currently sits eighth in team scoring with nine points, seven of which are goals.

Fans can catch all Attack action on RogersTV Grey County Ch. 53, or streaming on OHL Live. Fans can also listen to the game in Kitchener on 560 CFOS Bear Radio. A note for Saturday Dec. 4th, the game will be produced by CTRE and can be viewed on RogersTV Community Channel.

Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday games are still available and can be purchased online or by calling or visiting the McVivar and McComb Sutton Reality Box Office.

The weekend preview is sponsored by Joe Tomatoes in the Galaxy Plaza on the sunset strip.
