(Central Islip, NY) - On Friday evening, September 16, the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball ("ALPB") welcomed its 25 Millionth Fan through the turnstiles in this, the 14th year of existence for the circuit. Each club in the league is celebrating the milestone by recognizing fans from their member city with a VIP package, tickets and memorabilia.

"We are excited to celebrate surpassing 25 million fans coming to our ballparks in just our 14th year," says Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Executive director Joe Klein. "Our goal every year is to provide affordable family entertainment for all baseball fans, and their support is what keeps us going."

On Friday night, Charlie and Diane Barbeisch were chosen as the honorary 25 millionth fan to represent the Long Island Ducks. The long-time season ticketholders threw out a first pitch prior to Friday night's game against the Bluefish, and they will have a chance to be part of a special celebration for the milestone during the 2011 Atlantic League Championship Series. Charlie and Diane will receive a once-in-a-lifetime VIP package which includes:

-Two premium seats to Game Three of the 2011 Atlantic League Championship Series

-Recognition on the field prior to Game Three as the 25 Millionth Fan from their respective team's member city

-A one night hotel stay

-$250 in spending money
