Washington Nationals right handed pitcher Pedro Astacio made his second rehab start for New Orleans on Wednesday night in Memphis, Tennessee.
He allowed two runs in six innings of work. Allowing four hits, one walk and struck out two batters while throwing 62 pitches, 37 for strikes.
He exited the game as the pitcher of record on the winning side. The Zephyrs lead in Memphis 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th inning. The Nationals have placed him on the 60-day disabled list with a right forearm strain back on April 1st.
The 37 year old veteran of 14 major league seasons is expected to make another rehab start for the Zephyrs at Zephyr Field this Sunday vs. Nashville.
