(Charleston, WV- August 30, 2014)- The West Virginia Power fell to the Asheville Tourists 5-1 on Saturday evening at Appalachian Power Park. The Tourists poured on five runs with a pair of home runs in the fourth to pull away and claim the win.
West Virginia took the early advantage when JaCoby Jones blasted his 23rd long ball of the season to stake the Power to a 1-0 lead.
The Tourists, however, responded with five runs in the fourth. Ashley Graeter blasted a two-run home run to get things started followed by another two-run blast off the bat of Wilfredo Rodriguez. Zach Osborne capped off the frame with an RBI single.
Buddy Borden (7-9) was charged with the loss while Antonio Senzatela (15-2) earned the win and Trent Daniel (15) tallied the save. Austin Meadows extended his hitting streak to nine games in the loss.
