LAKEWOOD, NJ - Asheville scored five runs in the top of the 7th inning to break a 3-3 tie and open a three-game series at FirstEnergy Park with an 8-3 win.

Raimel Tapia's two-run double in the 7th off Delvi Francisco (1-2) broke open the game and gave Asheville the lead. They added runs on a two-run double by Correlle Prime and an RBI single by Zach Osborne in the five-run inning. Fransisco was charged with all five runs (four earned) in 1.1 innings to take the loss.

BlueClaws starter Matt Imhof struck out a career high seven in allowing three runs in five innings, getting a no-decision. Will Morris, who got the last eight outs without allowing a run, struck out a career high six.

Lakewood's (17-26/44-68) two-game win streak was halted while Asheville (32-12/73-40) improved to 16-2 on the road in the second half.

Lakewood took a 2-0 first inning lead on a HR by Carlos Tocci and an RBI double from Zach Green. After a three-run Asheville second inning, the BlueClaws tied the game in the third inning on an RBI double by Malquin Canelo, though that would be their final run.

Tocci's home run was his 2nd of the year and of his three-year minor league career. His first came in Hickory on July 16th. Zach Green had three hits for the BlueClaws while Willians Astudillo, Larry Greene Jr. and Canelo had two.

Astudillo now has three straight multi-hit games.

The series continues on Monday night. RHP Tyler Viza (3-14) throws for Lakewood opposite Asheville RHP Johendi Jiminian (11-5).
