Arizona Adjusts Roster, Activates MacLean, Waives Coyle

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced today that Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro has released forward Josh Coyle in order to make room for recently activated forward A.J. MacLean.

MacLean, 25, has been inactive since the conclusion of training camp due to pending immigration approval. Joining the Sundogs for his fifth professional season, the 6-foot, 200-pound forward has spent the previous four seasons in various leagues including the former United Hockey League (UHL), the ECHL and the CHL.

In his rookie season in 2004-05, MacLean skated with the Quad City Mallards (UHL) and registered 26 points (12g/14a) and 74 penalty minutes (PIM) in 69 regular season appearances. The Antigonish, Nova Scotia, native had his best professional season in 2006-07 while skating with the CHL's Oklahoma City Blazers, tallying career highs in goals (15) and points (27).

Coyle, 24, appeared in five games with Arizona this season and collected one assist and eight PIM.

The Arizona Sundogs tonight look to improve on their 1-4-0 record as they take on the Southwest Division Amarillo Gorillas at the Amarillo Civic Center at 5:05pm (Arizona time). The game can be heard via tape-delay beginning at 7:00pm on 96.7 FM The Wolf, the Official Broadcast Home of the Arizona Sundogs.
