August 31, 2018 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Everett AquaSox News Release
VANCOUVER, Canada - Ryan Garcia led an 11 hit attack batting 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three RBI as the AquaSox won the rubber game of their three-game set, 9-3, over the Vancouver Canadians before the third straight sellout crowd of 6,413 of the series at Nat Bailey Stadium.
The AquaSox took advantage of three Vancouver errors in the early going that led to three unearned runs. Everett built a 7-0 lead after 2 1/2 innings.
Bobby Honeyman was 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Josh Stowers and Troy Dixon finished with two hits apiece for the AquaSox.
Cody Brown (2-4) turned in his best outing of the season going five shutout innings in relief. He scattered three hits, walked one and struck out two while throwing 54 pitches.
Hisashi Iwakuma got the start and pitched his second and, presumably, final rehab start for the AquaSox. He worked two hitless and scoreless innings, walked one and struck out two while throwing 20 pitches (12 for strikes).
