ICYMI: Keston Hiura had three hits, Clint Coulter reached base safely in all four at-bats and Conor Harber struck out six over four innings in relief, but starter Marcos Diplan walked five while allowing four runs in two innings as the Mudcats lost 5-1 in Wilmington to the Blue Rocks on Monday night.

ABOUT THE LAST ONE: Clint Coulter reached base safely in all four of his at-bats last night; thus lifting his season OBP from .262 to .326 and his OPS from .712 to .814. Coulter walked in the first, doubled in the third, was hit by a pitch in the sixth and walked again in the eighth.

VS. BLUE ROCKS: The Mudcats continue their first road trip of the season tonight in Wilmington with game two of a three game series versus the Blue Rocks at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Tonight's game is also the seven of seven between the two teams this season... The Mudcats went 5-2 against the Blue Rocks last year, including a 2-1 record at home and 3-1 record in Wilmington.

MUDCATS STARTER: Right-hander Trey Supak has tonight's game two of three start versus the Blue Rocks in Wilmington. Supak is currently 0-0 and has pitched to a 0.90 ERA over two starts and 10.0 innings so far this season. He has also totaled nine strikeouts, six walks and seven hits allowed so far this season. Supak went 3-4-1 and pitched to a 4.60 ERA over 15 games and 11 starts (57 SO, 28 BB) with the Mudcats last season. Supak originally pitched to a stellar 1.76 ERA over eight games and seven starts with the Timber Rattlers before his promotion to Carolina in May of last year. He is currently rated as the No. 23 prospect in the Brewers system by MLBpipeline.com.

OPP STARTER: The Blue Rocks will send right-hander Jace Vines to the mound for tonight's start versus the Mudcats. Vines is currently 0-2 with a 12.91 ERA over two starts and enters tonight's outing with a Carolina League high 11 earned runs allowed this season. Vines pitched for the Blue Rocks for part of the 2017 season and went 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA over seven starts (40.0 IP, 15 BB, 20 SO). He also pitched for Low-A Lexington (9-5, 3.42 ERA, 100.0 IP, 23 BB, 63 SO) and Triple-A Omaha (0-0, 3.00 ERA, 1 GS, 6.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 SO).

GOT CLUTCH: The Mudcats went just 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position last night and left 12 men on base. Carolina is collectively batting just .200 with runners in scoring position this season (8th in the CL). They are additionally batting only .184 as a team with runners in scoring position and with two-outs in an inning (8th in the CL). The Mudcats have also stranded 94 runners on base overall this year (2nd most in the CL).

STAFF SPLITS: The Mudcats bullpen is currently 4-3 with a 5.01 ERA and a 5.5 BB/9ip ratio so far this season. Opponents are batting .274 against Carolina relievers and the bullpen has converted just four saves in eight opportunities... Conversely, Carolina's starting rotation is 2-3 with a 3.02 ERA (5.51 BB/9, 6.93 SO/9) over 12 games this year.

NO RUNNING: Max McDowell has caught a Minor League Baseball leading 10 base stealers so far this season. McDowell also leads all minor league catchers, with at least four attempted steals against, in caught stealing/stolen bases against efficiency (.833)... The Mudcats as a team have caught 11 of 16 base stealers this season (.688).

WHERE THEY RANK: Luis Aviles Jr. is tied for 2nd in the Carolina League in stolen bases (6)... Clint Coulter is 2nd in the CL in strikeouts (18), but is also tied for 2nd in the CL in extra-base hits (7)... Luke Barker is tied for 3rd among all CL pitchers in WHIP (0.67).

HEATING UP: Keston Hiura tallied his second three-hit game of Carolina's current road trip last night in Wilmington and is 7-for-20 (.400/.391/.450) over his last five games. So far this season Hiura is batting .200/.282/.296 and has been held without a hit in five of his nine total games played this season. Hiura was held without a hit in just five of his 42 total games played between the AZL Brewers and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers last season.

BIG LEAGUE CAMP: Keston Hiura hit .419/.438/.548 (.986 OPS) with 3 R, 13 H, 1 2B, 1 HR, 7 RBI and 1 BB over 19 MLB Spring Training games before his assignment to minor league camp on 3/17/18... Weston Wilson went 3-for-9 with three runs over eight MLB Spring Training games... Luis Aviles Jr. played in nine MLB Spring Training games and went 0-for-11 with six strikeouts.

FARM REPORT: Corey Ray (2017) went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and a run scored for Double-A Biloxi in last night's 5-1 victory versus Mobile. Ray is batting .362/.400/.660 with five doubles, three triples and a home run in Double-A this season.
