
Angels Option Budde to Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY (August 8, 2008) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has optioned catcher Ryan Budde to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Budde, 28, has appeared in six games for the Angels in 2008, including one start for the Halos in Baltimore on July 27. He has appeared in 37 games for the Bees this season, hitting .200 with six doubles, two triples, two home runs and 19 RBI. The Midwest City, Okla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 12th round of the 2001 draft.
