
Andy Rogers, Ryan Munce Recalled To Norfolk Admirals

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Wednesday that defenseman Andy Rogers and goaltender Ryan Munce have been reassigned by the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Rogers, a 6-5, 217-pound defenseman from Calgary, Alberta, has appeared in 11 games for the Admirals this season, going scoreless with 19 penalty minutes and a +1 rating. In four games with Mississippi, Rogers had one goal and was a -2.
The 21-year-old was a first-round draft pick (30th overall) of the Lightning in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He made his professional debut last season with the AHL's Springfield Falcons, posting seven assists and 39 penalty minutes in 48 games. In 59 career American Hockey League games, Rogers has seven assists and 58 penalty minutes.
Rogers split 158 games of junior hockey between the Calgary Hitmen and the Prince George Cougars from 2002 - 2006, scoring three goals and 18 assists with 242 penalty minutes.
Munce, a 6-2, 180-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario, appeared in his first eight career AHL games with the Admirals, going 2-6-0 with a 2.99 GAA and .901 save percentage. He registered his first career AHL victory on October 13 at Albany. In six games with Mississippi, Munce compiled a 4-2-0 record with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage. The 22-year-old netminder was acquired by the Lightning from the Los Angeles Kings on January 20, 2007, in exchange for a 2008 fourth-round draft pick. In 89 ECHL games with Bakersfield, Reading, and Johnstown during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons, Munce was 41-27-10 with a .914 save percentage and a 2.85 goals-against average.
