Boise, ID - Wranglers' center Tyler Mosienko recorded one goal and one assist and goaltender Daniel Manzato made 22 saves as the Steelheads fell to the Wranglers 3-0 in front of 3,772 fans at Qwest Arena on Wednesday night.

The loss is the second shutout defeat this season for the Steelheads (10-9-7), ending their season-high, three-game winning streak and four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1). The Wranglers (20-2-3) now lead the National Conference with 43 points as they run their unbeaten streak to 19 games (16-0-3).

The Wranglers took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission off a power play goal by Mosienko just 2:53 into the opening period. Defenseman Aaron Power and Jason Josza assisted on Mosienko's ninth of the season and his fourth in the last six contests.

Late in the second period the Wranglers added two more tallies, starting with an even-strength goal at 14:12 of the frame. On the play Ryan Donally dug the puck out from below the Steelheads' goal line and got it free to Mosienko who sent it to Peter Ferraro and his one-timer from the right wing boards found its way underneath the pads of Kellen Briggs (21 saves) for a 2-0 advantage.

Just 71 seconds later the visitors converted on another power play, with Adam Cracknell chipping the puck over a sprawled out Briggs after Jason Krischuk's point shot bounced off a body in front. Shawn Limpright picked up the second assist.

Through 40 minutes the Wranglers led 3-0 and the shots were even at 15 apiece.

There was no scoring in the third period and the final shots favored the Wranglers 24-22. The Steelheads ended the evening zero-for-four on the power play and the Wranglers scored twice in four chances. Briggs saw his record drop to 5-4-1 while Manzato is now a perfect 11-0-0.
