Tonight's contest marks the first time ex-Ice Pilot Derrick Byfuglien and former Stingray Bryan Esner have faced their former 2007-08 teammates since a Dec. 3 trade ... D Mike Gabinet, obtained last week from the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for T.J. McElroy, is expected to make his Stingrays debut ... RW Steve Pinizzotto currently has a six-game point streak (6g, 3a) ... Werner has collected 11 points (3g, 8a) over the last seven contests ... South Carolina is 9-1 this season when allowing two or less goals ... Pensacola has won a league-low four games this season, and has scored just 47 goals, which ranks last in the ECHL ... Sgroi, a minor league nomad, has suited up for 16 teams since turning pro in 2000-01, including seven ECHL clubs ... Straube, 33, spent his entire 13-year professional career in Europe prior to signing with Pensacola last month.

Stingrays G Josh Johnson and Ice Pilots F Bryan McGregor both played at the University of Minnesota-Duluth from 2003-2007 ... Pensacola D Jean-Claude Sawyer and South Carolina F Paul McIlveen were teammates with the QMJHL's Cape Breton Screaming Eagles for the last two seasons.
