Amerks Recall Forward Colin Jacobs from Elmira

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forward Colin Jacobs from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Jacobs, 21, has recorded eight points (4+4) and 44 penalty minutes in 22 games with Elmira this season. In 2013-14, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Coppell, Texas, split the season between Rochester and Elmira, recording two points (0+2) and 29 penalty minutes in 24 AHL games with the Amerks along with five points (2+3) and 31 penalty minutes in 20 games with Elmira. In 35 career games with the Amerks, Jacobs has collected five points (1+4). He was originally selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
