Allen Americans News Release


Allen Texas- The Allen Americans and Arizona Sundogs will meet for the first time this season on Friday November 4th, and Saturday November 5th at Allen Event Center. The Sundogs will forever be a part of Allen Americans history, as Allen recorded their first franchise win against Arizona on Friday October 16th 2009, at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley Arizona. Christian Gaudet had the only goal that night in a 1-0 Allen win.

Practice: 10:00 am-12:00 pm Monday-Thursday at Allen Event Center.

AMERICANS LAST WEEK

The Allen Americans played two road games this past weekend. The Americans earned 3 of 4 possible points by beating Texas 5-1 on Friday October 28th, and falling to Wichita 3-2 in a shootout on Saturday October 29th.

Allen 5 Texas 1 October 28th

First period goals by Trevor Hendrikx, and Keith Johnson led the Allen Americans to their first win of the season on Friday night 5-1 against their Metroplex rival. Johnson's goal, the eventual game winner was his first of the season. Allen netminder Rejean Beauchemin was outstanding in net, stopping 18 of 19 Texas shots.

Wichita 3 Allen 2 SO October 29th

Aaron Davis scored the game winning goal in a shootout, as the Wichita Thunder beat the Allen Americans 3-2 Saturday night in front of almost 5,000 fans at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. The Americans took 3 of a possible 4 points over the weekend, improving to 1-1-2 on the season.
