Arizona Sundogs News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs take off for their first road trip of the season this week. The Sundogs will visit the Allen Americans this weekend before moving on to South Texas for games against Laredo and Rio Grande Valley

Wednesday vs. Missouri, 7-2 Loss
The Sundogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals by JP Chabot and Kyle Hood. But Missouri responded with seven unanswered goals of their own, including two from Dale Mahovsky, who finished with a four-point night. Charlie Effinger stopped 49 shots for the Mavericks.
Friday vs. Missouri, 2-1 (SO) Overtime Loss
Arizona's Tyler Butler scored in the third period to tie the game and force overtime. In the shootout, it took eight rounds to decide a winner as Gerry Festa turned away Arizona's David Nimmo to seal the win. Andrew Courtney scored the shootout-winning goal for Mavericks.
Saturday vs. Missouri, 4-2 Loss
The Sundogs bid for a comeback fell short as they closed a 3-0 third period deficit to 3-2. John-Scott Dickson added an empty-net goal in the closing seconds to give Missouri the win. Levente Szuper stopped 34 shots for the Sundogs despite the loss.

Saturday's game against Missouri was the 500th in the career of Tyler Butler and the 400th of Adam Smyth. Daymen Rycroft currently has 398 points in his pro career... Kyle Hood extended his point streak to five games with an assist in Saturday's game. Last season the Sundogs were 1-3-0 against the Allen Americans in four total meetings. So far this season four of Arizona's five games have been decided by one goal.
