Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Laredo Bucks won for the third time at the Allen Event Center this season, defeating the Allen Americans in overtime by a score of 3-2.

The Americans jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead, only to see the Bucks rally. Colton Yellow Horn put Allen on the board first in the opening period, putting a back-hander past Bucks goalie Torrie Jung, to make it 1-0 Americans. Yellow Horn's 15th of the season from Clouthier and Graham at 3:11. The Americans would add to their lead on the power play, when Americans forward Jarret Lukin slid one past Jung from in front of the Laredo net to make it 2-0 Americans. It was Lukin's 14th of the season, and his 200th point of his professional career. It was also Lukin's 100th point as a member of the Americans.

Laredo got on the board in the second, when Bucks defenseman David Inman scored on the power play, to cut the lead to 2-1, Adam Rivet and Matt Pierce drawing the assists. The Bucks outshot the Americans 16-11 in the second period.

The Bucks tied the game in the third on a fluky goal. Bucks forward Mark Nebus appeared to have deflected one past Americans netminder Marco Cousineau from behind the Allen net, to make it 2-2 after 60 minutes of play.

In overtime, the Bucks scored quickly as Rusty Masters put one past Marco Cousineau just as the Laredo power play had expired, to give the Bucks a 3-2 win at the Allen Event Center. The same two clubs meet tomorrow night in Laredo at 7:30 PM.
