Americans Complete Weekend Sweep of Tulsa

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Allen Americans (18-4-1-1) and Tulsa Oilers (13-13-1-2) completed a back-to-back on Sunday afternoon at the BOK Center in Tulsa. Allen exploded for six goals in a 6-3 victory over the Tulsa Oilers.
The Americans picked up two goals from Aaron Gens, his 3rd and 4th of the season, Jamie Schaafsma on the power play for Allen, his 4th of the season, Chad Costello his 16th of the year, Gary Steffes his league leading 18th and Trevor Ludwig added his fifth. Justin Baker, Chad Costello, Gary Steffes, Tyler Ludwig and Jamie Schaafsma all had two assists each. The Americans had seven players with two points or more.
Aaron Dell picked up the win for the Americans, his 4th of the season, as he improved to 4-1-1. Dell stopped 29 of 32 shots. The two teams combined for 128 penalty minutes in a wild affair.
The Americans had all three stars on Sunday; Chad Costello, the number three star with a goal and two assists. Jamie Schaafsma, the number two star with a goal and two assists, and Gary Steffes, the number one star with a goal and two helpers.
