Lee Recalled by Portland

DULUTH, Ga. - The Portland Pirates, AHL affiliate of the Gladiators, announced that goaltender Mike Lee has been recalled from his rehab assignment in Gwinnett on Monday.

Lee, 24, started in three games for the Gladiators this past month, accumulating a 1-2 record with a 3.38 goals against average and a .880 save percentage. His best game came in his most recent appearance, when he saved all but one of the 29 shots he faced against the Orlando Solar Bears this past Sunday.

The third round (91st overall) selection of the Arizona Coyotes in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft has played in 24 games for the Pirates over the last three seasons, picking up 10 wins. He has also played in 32 games for the Gladiators, winning half of his games, and averaging a 2.25 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

Lee rejoins the Pirates at the start of their Christmas break. Portland will next play on Saturday in Hartford. The Gladiators' next match will be in Greenville to take on the Road Warriors, the day after Christmas at 7:00 p.m. The Glads will return home to The Arena at Gwinnett Center on Monday, December 29th for Festivus and the annual Ugly Sweater Contest against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m.
