ECHL history will be made this Saturday, December 27th, as the K-Wings travel to Fifth-Third Field in Toledo, Ohio for a 5:30 p.m. showdown against the Toledo Walleye in the league's very first Outdoor Game. The K-Wings are 1-3-0-0 against the Walleye, who begin the week in second place (19-4-2-1, 41 points) in the North Division.
On the Ice The following is the K-Wings practice schedule for the week (subject to change) -Tuesday: No Practice -Wednesday: No Practice -Thursday: No Practice -Friday: 10:00-11:30 a.m. (Wings Stadium) -Saturday: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 a.m. (Morning Skate at Fifth-Third Field for game @ Toledo 5:30 p.m.)

The K-Wings will be dressing extra warm this Saturday as they travel to Toledo to play the Walleye at Fifth-Third Field. The game will be the first Outdoor Game in ECHL history.

Forward Curtis Valk will enter the week on a five-game point streak. In addition to the five-game point streak, Valk is also riding a four-game goal streak, which is the longest current goal streak in the league.
Dishing it Out
With an assist last Saturday, forward Gergo Nagy upped his consecutive assist streak to four games. In total, Nagy has earned points in five straight games.
Nearing History Goaltender Joel Martin is closing in on K-Wings' ECHL history. Martin is one win shy of establishing the K-Wings ECHL record for victories (59).
The Obscure Stat of the Week
The K-Wings power-play has been stellar on the road. Kalamazoo ranks third in the league with a road percentage of 22.2%.
