The Mallards have won four of their last five games.

Beast Mode

The Mallards took two of three games from the Brampton Beast on home ice last week. After visiting Missouri tonight, the Mallards will make it five games against Brampton out of six total when they welcome the Beast back to the Quad Cities for games Saturday and Sunday.

Second

With yesterday's win the Mallards climbed into a three-way tie for second place in the ECHL's Central Division with the Tulsa Oilers and Wichita Thunder. The Mallards have a game in hand on the Thunder and have played three fewer games than the Oilers.

Home Sweet Home

The Mallards have gone 5-1-1 in their last seven home games.

Half Dozen

The Mallards came within one goal of a club season high by scoring six times yesterday. Six different players scored as the Mallards lifted their season average to 3.1 goals per game- twlefth in the ECHL.

Stingy

The Mallards yesterday surrendered just one goal for the fourth time in their last five games and matched a season low by so doing. The Mallards locked down yesterday after equaling a season high by giving up five goals Saturday night. The Mallards are tied for fourth in the ECHL in goals against per game (2.7).

Even Steven

The Mallards yesterday held the opposition without an even strength for the fourth time in five games. The Mallards went 199:14 without giving up an even strength goal before Brampton's Jason Pitton opened the scoring in Saturday night's game at 5-on-5 at 16:50 of the first period. Pitton's was the first even strength goal conceded by the Mallards since Allen's Jack Combs scored at 17:36 of the third period of the Mallards' 5-2 loss to the Americans on December 10 at the Allen Event Center. Parker Milner h as gone 229:20 without allowing an even strength goal since last being scored on at 5-on-5 on December 6 by Rapid City's Johan Ryd at 15:40 of the first period of the Mallards' 3-2 shootout win over the Rush at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center

Special Teams

The Mallards have gone 0-for-5 on the power play over two games since setting a team season high by scoring three power play goals last Wednesday against Brampton. The Mallards are tied for fourteenth in the ECHL on the power play (16.7 percent). The Mallards have allowed power play goals in each of their last eight games, conceding eight goals on 30 penalty kills during that stretch. The Mallards are now seventeenth in penalty killing (82.4).

Baker's (Half) Dozen

Kevin Baker has piled up nine points (four goals and five assists) in his last six games.

No Ordinary Joe

Joe Perry has produced five points (one goal and four assists) in his last three games. He is tied for eighth in the ECHL in goals (13).

Foxy

Justin Fox matched a Mallard season high first set last Wednesday against the Beast by Jannik Christensen by collecting three assists yesterday. Fox and Mario Lamoureux both posted plus/minus ratings of +4 yesterday- the best plus/minus recorded by a Mallard in one game this season.

Super Mario

Lamoureux's six-game point scoring streak (2-8-10) ended last Wednesday against Brampton. Lamoureux picked up an assist yesterday to move into a tie for seventh in the ECHL in assists (19).

Mallard captain Darren McMillan is set to play his three hundredth game for the club tonight. McMillan, who scored his first goal of this season last Saturday against the Beast, has scored 17 goals and added 68 assists for 85 points with the Mallards since first joining the team in 2009.

Between the Pipes

Parker Milner has won four straight games and given up just five goals (1.23, .954) during that streak. Milner ranks fifth in the ECHL in save percentage (.922) and sixth in goals against average (2.26). Evan Mosher ranks third in in save percentage (.924).

Milestones

McMillan has recorded 195 career points...Jeff Lee has 98 career points.

Head to Head

The Mallards have gone 0-1-2 against the Mavericks this season. The Mallards have gone 0-1-1 on the road against the Mavs. Tonight's game is the fourth of 15 between the two teams this season. All-time, the Mallards have turned in a 16-21-2 overall record against the Mavericks and have gone 9-12-1 at the Independence Events Center

Paxton Leroux returned to the Mallard line-up yesterday after completing a six-game ECHL suspension... Johnny Rogic (lower body injury) missed yesterday's game.
