Winnipeg 4, Lincoln 3 (14 innings)

Even when the contest between Winnipeg and Lincoln seemed to be finally over - when the Goldeyes scored two in the top of the 13th - it wasn't. Lincoln answered with two solo home runs in the bottom of the frame. But Winnipeg's Luis Allen singled in Fehlandt Lentini in the very next inning to give the Goldeyes a hard-fought, 4-3 win. The Goldeyes trailed for a majority of the scheduled nine innings, as Lincoln went on top, 1-0, in the first, a lead they held into the eighth inning. But that 1-0 advantage was Lincoln's only advantage of the game. Goldeyes leadoff 2B Price Kendall went 4-for-7 with a run and an RBI.

[Correction]

Fort Worth 9, Shreveport-Bossier 5

Cats C Kelley Gulledge went 4-for-5 and fell a triple shy of the cycle, batting in three runs and scoring two of his own to power Fort Worth past Shreveport-Bossier, 9-5. Gulledge hit a third-inning homer and doubled twice off Shreveport-Bossier pitching. The Captains took a 1-0 lead on a first-inning Palmer Karr Jr. RBI single. But three runs from Fort Worth in the second and another four in the third put the Cats on top for good. The Fort Worth pitching staff put in a team effort with no hurler throwing more than three innings and reliever Griffin Bailey picking up the win, allowing one hit in one and two-thirds innings with two strikeouts.
