Fargo-Moorhead 4, Sioux Falls 2 - Box Score

Fargo-Moorhead scored four runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-0 lead and would go on from there to beat Sioux Falls by the final of 4-2. The RedHawks have now won four straight and claim the league's best record at 54-29.

Starting pitcher Tyler Pike tossed six solid innings for Fargo-Moorhead and earned the victory. The southpaw gave up two earned runs on seven hits and struck out six batters. Pike has now won four straight decisions and sports a record of 8-2.

Offensively for the RedHawks, 1B Correlle Prime led the way going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Fargo-Moorhead RF Tim Colwell had a hit in three at-bats along with a run while 2B T.J. Bennett launched his 12th home run of the season, a three-run shot in the big four-run fourth. In total, the RedHawks has seven hits on the night.

St. Paul 7, Lincoln 4 - Box Score

St. Paul jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 3 ½ innings of play and would cruise from there to defeat Lincoln by the score of 7-4.

Saints starter Jake Matthys gave up three earned runs over six innings of work and picked-up the win. The Angelo State product gave up a pair of walks and six hits while fanning three batters. With the victory, Matthys is now 8-4 on the year.

Offensively for St. Paul, leadoff hitter Dan Motl led the charge going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Saints 3B Chesny Young had a two-hit game, including a blast, along with two runs and a pair of RBIs while SS Chris Baker doubled and plated a run.

Shortstop Christian Ibarra hit one of three home runs for the Saltdogs tonight. He went 2-for-4.

Gary SouthShore 2, Milwaukee 1 - Box Score

Gary SouthShore scored both of their runs in the fourth inning to grab a 2-0 advantage and that would be enough as they edged past Milwaukee, 2-1.

After 3 ½ scoreless innings to start off the contest, the RailCats plated the two runs in the fourth on a two-out, two-run double from the bat of SS Marcus Mooney. Gary SouthShore would carry the 2-0 lead into the seventh when the Milkmen cut the deficit in half thanks to a double from SS Sam Dexter. That would be all that the Milkmen would get as they left the tying at third base to end the game.

Mooney went 1-for-2 with two RBIs while 2B Andy DeJesus added a pair of hits in four at-bats and tallied a run.

Gary SouthShore starting pitcher Seth Hougesen threw six shutout innings and earned his third win of the 2019 season. Hougesen gave up five hits and struck out five batters in a 97-pitch outing.

Dexter had a 2-for-4 night with an RBI in the loss for Milwaukee.

Cleburne 9, Sioux City 1 - Box Score

Cleburne rolled out to an 8-0 lead after just an inning of play and would cruise from there to a big 9-1 victory over Sioux City. With the win, the Railroaders now have a 1 ½ game lead over the Explorers in the race for the South Division.

There were eight hits collected by Cleburne with three batters having multi-hit games. Railroaders 2B Ryan Brett led the way offensively going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. Cleburne SS Daniel Robertson had two hits in four at-bats along with two runs and two RBIs while 1B Logan Trowbridge scored a run and drove in one in a 2-for-4 night.

Railroaders starting pitcher Stephen Johnson tossed seven solid innings and grabbed his eighth win of the year. Johnson (8-1) allowed one earned run on five hits and fanned five batters.

For Sioux City in the loss, SS Nate Samson went 2-for-4.

Chicago 13, Winnipeg 0 - Box Score

It was all Chicago in this contest as the Dogs shutout Winnipeg by the final of 13-0.

Chicago pounded out 19 hits in the game with every batter in the lineup collecting at least one. Dogs 2B Edwin Arroyo led the way offensively going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Chicago LF Kelly Dugan had a three-hit game, all doubles, and scored a pair of runs while CF David Olmedo-Barrera, DH Victor Roache and SS Gustavo Pierre launched home runs.

Dogs starter Jake Dahlberg and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout of the Goldeyes. Dahlberg went the first seven innings allowing two walks and three hits while fanning four in an 89-pitch performance. The bullpen duo of Jalen Miller and Harrison Smith threw the final two innings and combined gave up a hit and struck out two batters. Dahlberg notched the victory and is now 7-6 on the season.

Second baseman Alex Perez had a two-hit night for Winnipeg.
