
Alum Trevor Hamilton Signs with Grand Rapids Griffins

LINCOLN, Neb. - Lincoln Stars alum Trevor Hamilton has signed a one-year contract with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League, the Griffins announced yesterday.
Hamilton, 23, finished his second season at Penn State University, tallying six goals and 23 assists for 29 points with 35 penalty minutes and a +13 rating. The Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. product was named Big 10 Defenseman of the Year while setting a single-season record among defenseman with 23 assists and blocking a nation-best 109 shots. Over his two-year career, the 6-foot, 183-pound defenseman totaled 55 points while playing all 77 games.
Hamilton played two seasons in the USHL including 19 games with the Stars during the 2015-16 season, posting four goals and five assists for nine points with Lincoln. In 149 career USHL games, he owns 22 goals and 52 assists for 74 points.
The Stars return to the Ice Box on Wednesday, Apr. 4 at 8:05 p.m. against the Des Moines Buccaneers.
