Alternate Tryout Date for Pensacola Pelicans Fall Showcase Team Announced

Pensacola Pelicans News Release


The alternate tryout date for the Pensacola Pelicans Fall Showcase Team will be Saturday August 25th from 10 am-2pm @ Pelican Park on the campus of the University of West Florida. The goal of the program is to expose qualified student athletes to the professional and collegiate scouting community in the hopes of them receiving a scholarship for their athletic abilities. Cost per player will be $1000--Which covers Tournament Entry Fees, Equipment/Uniforms, Coach Fees, Team Insurance, Field Use Fees, Umpire Fees, and unlimited use of Pelicans Training Academy. There will be sponsorship opportunities and a payment plan to assist with enrollment.

There are 8 Roster Spots Available for Pitchers, Catchers, OF's, and 1B

Sept 21-23--World Wood Bat/Perfect Game SE Qualifier #1 (East Cobb)

Sept 28-30--Open

Oct 6-8-Barry Larkin's Scout Day Tournament @ Pace, Fl-Individual Scouting Combine Included

Oct 12-14--World Wood Bat/Perfect Game SE Qualifier #2 (East Cobb)

Oct 19-21-World Baseball Federation Fall Nat'l Championships @ Dodgertown Vero Beach, FL-Between 80 and 100 Pro/College Scouts Committed

Oct 25-29--World Wood Bat/Perfect Game World Championship (If Qualify) Jupiter, FL-Most Scouted Event in the Country

Nov 3-5--Charleston, SC (SC Diamond Devils)
