LAKEWOOD, N.J. - With their annual ALS Celebrity Waiter event coming up on May 27th, the BlueClaws have announced the sports memorabilia that will be a part of the evening, at which all the proceeds go towards the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia.
Included in the lot are an autographed Steve Carlton jersey and an autographed Ryan Howard baseball, plus a jersey and batting helmet signed by all the current BlueClaws players.
Additionally, fans can bid on a baseball autographed by former Yankee and current Cubs OF Alfonso Soriano as well as one by former Yankee and current Cubs manager Lou Piniella.
"This is always one of our most popular events, and this year should be no different," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "It's a great evening and a lot of fun is had by all, plus great memorabilia and proceeds go to an outstanding cause. We're looking forward to it."
At the event, current BlueClaws players wait on tables and the coaching staff serves as the bartenders.
Proceeds from ticket price, the memorabilia auction, as well as all tips earned by the players and coaching staff will go to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia.
