
Alonso, Martinez Power Cutters Past Jamestown

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters won in convincing fashion on Monday, defeating the visiting Jamestown Jammers 10-2 at Historic Bowman Field.
The Jammers took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth, as Jobduan Morales hit a two-run shot to left off Lino Martinez.
The Cutters answered in the bottom of the fifth, as Carlos Alonso hit a three-run double which was followed by an RBI double to center by Maikel Franco to make it 4-2 Williamsport. The home team then added three more in the sixth, highlighted by a triple by Kelly Dugan and another RBI double by Alonso to make it 7-2.
Williamsport broke it wide open in the bottom of the seventh, tallying three more runs on three hits highlighted by a two-run double off the bat of Taylor Black which gave the Cutters a 10-2 lead.
Martinez finished with six strong innings to earn his second win of the season. Alonso finished 3 for 4 with four RBI's.
