All-Star Classic Airing Live Locally

Peoria, IL (January 31, 2006) - Director of Corporate Sales/Marketing David Rak of the Peoria Rivermen, the proud primary affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, announced today that the 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic will be broadcast LIVE on FOX Sports Net Midwest & Insight Communications.

The 2006 CCM AHL All-Star Skills Competition will be broadcast LIVE on FOX Sports Net Midwest (FSN Midwest) at 7:00 p.m. tonight from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The 2006 AHL All-Star game will be broadcast LIVE on Insight Communications Channel 74 with limited commercial interruption in Peoria, Pekin, Morton, Galesburg and Bloomington-Normal. The AHL All-Star game will be rebroadcast locally on FSN Midwest on Monday, February 6, at Noon.

Of the 364 players to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic since 1995, more than 93 percent have competed in the National Hockey League, including Patrice Bergeron, Pavol Demitra, Rick DiPietro, Patrik Elias, Miikka Kiprusoff, Kari Lehtonen, Ryan Miller, Martin St. Louis, Jason Spezza, Eric Staal and Steve Sullivan.

The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
